The next Fitbit Charge, which would be the first in the Charge line since Google’s $2.1 billion acquisition of the wearable-maker was finalized earlier this year, could be getting a new look. The Fitbit Charge 5 may feature a new rounded design and color display, according to renders from leaker Evan Blass posted to Twitter on Saturday.

If it does include a curved screen, the Fitbit Charge 5’s possible new design could be similar to that of the Fitbit Luxe, which was released in April.

Although the render from Blass didn’t share any specs for the new fitness tracker, it does show three different color options for the purported Fitbit Charge 5: teal, cream and black.

The Fitbit Charge 4, released last year, features a black-and-white display with built-in GPS, improved activity tracking and more sleep health data compared with the Fitbit Charge 3.

Google’s acquisition of Fitbit was announced in late 2019 and scrutinized by European Union officials over privacy concerns about how Google could use Fitbit’s collection of health data. Google received conditional approval from the EU in December after promising not to use health data for targeted ads.

The possible Fitbit leak comes a week after Samsung Unpacked, in which the Galaxy Watch 4 was revealed as the first smartwatch to run on Google’s newest version of Wear OS. The new operating system is a collaboration between Google and Samsung, and is slated to eventually include a Fitbit experience.

Google didn’t respond to CNET’s request for comment.
